Special Quarterly Collections of Household Hazardous Waste

In 2012:

2nd Saturday of each quarter -  Apr. 14, July 14, and Oct. 13
Franklin County: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Ripley County: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Switzerland/Ohio Counties: 12 noon to 1 p.m.

3rd Saturday of each quarter - Jan. 21, Apr. 21, July 21, and Oct. 10
Jennings County:  8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Scott County: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

HHW Collections at county recycling centers only during the assigned hours.

Examples of HHW are leftover cleaning supplies, pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides, acids and bases, checmicals, paint thinners and stains, and items containing mercury.
