The Southeastern Indiana Solid Waste District is proud to partner with our county governments to offer a recycling and reuse center in each of our seven counties.
If you would like a brochure about your local recycling center, please contact us. Each recycling and re-use center has different hours of operation.

Household hazardous wastes, such as chemicals, antifreeze, etc. are accepted at the SISWD Processing Center in Madison/JPG on a regular basis.

SISWD now offers quarterly opportunities in Franklin, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, and Scott Counties.

Franklin , Ripley and Switzerland/Ohio Counties: 2nd Saturday of each quarter

Jennings and Scott: 3rd Saturday of each quarter.

Medical waste and used sharps may be dropped off at the Ohio County Health Department. Unused narcotics should be taken to the Rising Sun Police Department.
